Annie Bartholomew

Annie Bartholomew is a Juneau songwriter and clawhammer banjo player who creates mountain music as dark and dramatic as the northland. Inspired by the ghosts of Alaska's mining past, her debut album Sisters of White Chapel uses historic source material and Appalachian stringband traditions to explore themes of survival, resilience, and revelry through her original folk songs about women and sex workers who traveled north during the Klondike Gold Rush. For her Chickenstock debut, Annie will be taking the stage with her festival ride-or-dies: Kat Moore, Nichole Campanale, and Chris Bieri, who have crossed oceans and state lines picking tunes together most recently at Dawson City Honky Tonk, Red Ants Pants Music Festival in Montana, Rotterdam Bluegrass in the Netherlands, and Louisiana's Blackpot Festival & Cookoff.

Blackwater Railroad Company

Blackwater Railroad Company began as a community band in Seward, Alaska, a deep-water harbor, port city and gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Over the past decade, the band honed folk-style songwriting and a raucous live show into a singular Alaskan voice that's grounded in storytelling and foot-stomping good times. Their new album Caravan finds them poised on the precipice of their next chapter.

Canaan Peeples

Canaan Peeples is a guitarist and musician from South Carolina with over 30 years experience who started playing at the age of three. He has toured Europe performing solo classical guitar and has performed multiple national tours in the lower 48 performing bluegrass, soul, and rock n' roll. Canaan's music is an eclectic mix of Americana, folk, bluegrass, Celtic folk, blues, and rock n' roll with a classical sensibility.

Casey Smith Project

Dangertown

Hailing from Kentucky and West Virginia, Andy King brings the honkytonk to Alaska for over 15 years. Together with his wife, Mandy Booth King, they form the band Dangertown based out of Anchorage, AK. Dangertown is known for their upbeat, harmony-driven crowd pleasing songs drawing from classic country, southern rock and bluegrass favorites. Brian Carroll joins them with his rock-solid drumming and Alex Clarke adds his tasty electric guitar licks. Their fun, danceable songs and sweet harmonies make for a high entertainment value.

Farrago Five

"Farrago" means a confused mixture — and this five-piece band proudly leans into it, fusing rock across generations, from timeless classics to millennial singalongs. Formed in Anchorage in 2022, Farrago Five released their debut full-length blues-rock album Emberglow in 2024. Since then, they've been lighting up stages across Alaska, earning a reputation for high-energy shows and inventive mashups like Nirvana x Michael Jackson, Buffalo Springfield x Sublime, "Sweet Dreams" x "Seven Nation Army," and plenty more that keep crowds on their feet singing all night long. This marks Farrago's first time at Chickenstock — and if you love to dance, shout every chorus, and rock out under the midnight sun, this is one set you won't want to miss.

Fireweed Fiddle

Led by fiddler, vocalist, and songwriter Rachel DeTemple, the band is known for their energetic performances and genre-blending originals. With Adam Owen (guitar & vocals), Jon Oestreich (bass & vocals), and Brian Carroll (drums), Fireweed Fiddle brings a seasoned lineup of Alaskan musicians who know how to get a crowd dancing—whether they're playing a front-porch fiddle tune, a jazzy swing number, or a heartfelt ballad. Fireweed Fiddle has become a staple of the Interior Alaska music scene. Great American Trainwreck

Full of Americana, bluegrass and northwest music, Great American Trainwreck combines melodic riffs, thoughtful lyrics and heavenly harmonies to define their progressive approach to traditional genres. Hailing from Seattle, Washington, the band formed when friends and former bandmates got together to share their love for rootsy Americana. With influences ranging from Alison Krauss & Union Station to Blackberry Smoke, their music is original and upbeat, blending bluegrass and southern rock into a sound uniquely their own. The band is currently working on their fourth studio album and touring across North America.

Jerry Wessling Band

Not your average Country show, the Jerry Wessling Band has built a reputation for getting crowds pumped and jumping with high flying musicianship, laser light shows, and high-energy crowd participation. In 2025 the Jerry Wessling Band played 274 shows across Alaska, Japan, and Hawaii. Strap in for fireworks and a few Yee Haws.

Matt Johnson and Last Frontier

Last Frontier started the winter of 2005 as a bluegrass trio, since then we have had a few personnel changes over the years with Matt Johnson remaining front and center. We are still going strong playing traditional bluegrass in the style of Alaska's father of bluegrass, Carl Hoffman!!

Pushki Pickers

The Pushki Pickers, a string band hailing from the Southern Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, formed in 2022 on a shared desire to play a little bluegrass, has grown into a regional sensation, appearing randomly, unscheduled, and unannounced, at various events and venues on the peninsula. Musically, the Pushki Pickers are developing a catalog of originals, as well as exploring a variety of styles, from bluegrass and oldtime, to rock and country, with a healthy sprinkling of the Grateful Dead, from ballads to barnburners.

Scooter Brown Band

After two tours, USMC Combat Veteran, Scooter Brown traded his guns in for guitars and hit the road. Scooter Brown Band has toured and opened for some of their biggest influences including Charlie Daniels Band, Travis Tritt, Dwight Yoakam, Lee Roy Parnell and the Marshall Tucker Band, just to name a few. Two members wore the uniform, dedicating 25 years of combined service to our great country, and they continue to dedicate a significant amount of time doing work for Veteran Support Organizations. The band was named as an Artist to Watch by Rolling Stone and has recently joined forces with Chris Ramos from Boomtown Saints. A new project is being launched in 2026 that has everyone in Nashville talking. In July 2019, the Scooter Brown Band made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage, introduced by fellow road warrior, Opry-member Charlie Daniels.
